Thursday 9th. A light SE'ly started off the day as high pressure gave way to low pressure, the wind slowly veering into the SW as heavy showers and thunderstorms arrived late afternoon. ATing off runway 20 started around 1015 hrs, but with no significant lift to be had and visibility poor, flight times never exceeded 30 minutes, the best being by Colin Troise, 29 minutes, solo in K21 JVZ. Colin landed at 1510 hrs after what turned out to be the last flight of the day as the aforementioned showers and thunderstorms made their appearance. 3 of the day's 10 launches were for First Flight pupils, while visitors Iain Roberts and Philip Hallas each flew the DG303.
