Wednesday 6th.   A low overcast that had moved in off the North Sea overnight, burnt off by 1100 hrs, leaving a hazy, hot day with light winds, mainly from the SSE.  The anticlyclone's low inversion at around 1,500' asl ruled out any significant soaring opportunities, with the day's 17 ATs off runway 20 not yielding a flight of over 24 minutes.  All the day's flying utilised the 2 K21s, with the day's 6 First Flight pupils having flight times of 18-24 minutes, the best of the day.  There was only 1 solo flight, visitor Katherine Balkwill flying K21 KLW for 7 minutes off a low tow.

This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
