Friday 14th.  Early brightness under cloudy skies soon gave way to rain from noon, limiting flying to 4 ATs off runway 20, as the moderate SSE slowly backed into the ESE.  The increasingly low cloudbase limited tow heights, so flight times were low, in the range 5 to 16 minutes, although member Iain Weatherston elected to have one 1200' tow to practice circuit flying and then took a higher tow for a extended circuit flight.  The day's 2 other flights, limited in tow height due to the cloud,  were for a First Flight pupil, with all 4 flights taken in K21 KLW with Ian Pattindale occupying the back seat for each one.

This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
