Friday 14th to Sunday 16th Febrary 2025

Friday 14th.   Although the anticyclone remained in place and the light to moderate SE'ly continued to  deliver overcast skies, the the air mass had dried out and the cloud base had increased sufficiently for flying to take place.  6 ATs were flown off runway 20 while the Falke had 3 sorties.  In the absence of any lift, glider flight times were in the range of 12 to 18 minutes off tows of 1,900-2,200' and the Falke's 3 flights totalled around 1:45.

Saturday 15th.  A weakening Atlantic front made it to the eastern side of the UK without changing the wind direction, which remained from the SE quadrant, but did reintroduce low cloud and bits and pieces of light rain and drizzle so there was no flying.

Sunday 16th.  The front continued to weaken but still kept the site in a damp airmass from the SE, with a low overcast, poor visibility and drizzle at times, so there was no flying.
