Sunday 6th. A day of sunny intervals with increasing cloudiness and rain in the evening as a moderate SSE'ly slowly declined to light to moderate, did not result in any flying, this time for operational reasons.
Monday 7th. The movement of a low pressure centred initially to the W of Ireland, led to a slow change of wind direction form SSE to SW while remaining light to moderate. Partially cloudy skies and some thermal activity allowed soaring by the 2 private owners who launched, while the club 2 seaters were busy with 5 First Flight pupils and members, the longest flight time of this group being 27 minutes by Ian McFarlane and a First Flight pupil in K21 KLW. The 3 private owner launches included 2 by Neil Paverley in his Nimbus 2 and the other by Dean Crosby in his LS10t, their soaring flights being local using thermal, although Dean also indulged in a little hill soaring at around 800' QFE in the main bowl during his 2:16 flight, with Neil having 31 and 40 minutes in his. Dean's maximum altitude was 3,100' asl, with his best average climb 2 kts.
Tuesday 8th. The departing low pressure left some trailing fronts that produced low cloud and rain in both the mid/late morning and evening, so there was no flying.
