Thursday 21st. A beautiful looking sky and gliders passing overhead while on 1000km tasks starting from the south of England only increased the frustration of those at site, as a moderate NW'ly, with its associated turbulent conditions across ruways 20 and 24 kept the Sutton gliders on the ground. The only airfield activity was the landing of Ian Freestone in his Pik20E who had flown up from Husbands Bosworth after a flight of 4:20.
This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
