Wednesday 23rd.  A  slow moving but very active cold front brought some torrential downpours to the local area in the morning and meant that the day was scrubbed as far as the Task Week competitors and club flying were concerned. However, a gliding based quiz kept the Task Week entrants engaged until lunch time. Conditions slowly improved over the day and a pleasant evening ensured, the visual features of which were enjoyed by Task Week competitors and some spouses from the inside of the clubhouse, as they participated in a social evening centred around a splendid 4 course meal provided by Liz with assistance from Sarah.

This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
